HOW COLOUR AFFECTS CHILDREN'S BEHAVIOUR
I was reading an amazing article about how colour affects children's behaviour and I learnt a lot about colours and what colours are calming and suitable to use in a childs bedroom to help them sleep.

RED: Red energises the body - increases heart rates and breathing rates. It isn't good for a child's bedroom - it can make them restless).

ORANGE: Orange is a warm and friendly colour - it is great for children. It is said to encourage confidence and independence. It also puts children at ease.

YELLOW: Yellow is the colour of happiness and cheerfulness. It is said to be good for motivation and can increase memory. It isn't good in large quantities as a large dose pf a bright yellow can create feelings of agitation and anger.

GREEN: Green is a calming, natural colour and can have a soothing impact on a child. It is an anxiety reducing colour.

BLUE: Blue has the opposite affect to red - blue can reduce anxiety and aggression. It also has soothing affects.

PURPLE: Purple is the colour of passion, creativity and wisdom. It can also inspire sensitivity.

PINK: Pink has a calming affect but is best used in small dosages (such as an accent colour) because people go off the colour pink quite quickly.
After doing this research I am going to use the colours that calm children the most such as green, blue, orange, and pink and yellow as accent colours.
This is the article that I read and found out this information:
