Rachel Kelly - Interactive wallpaper

Rachel Kelly has a degree in printed textiles, her main interests are stickers and print.

Her work was inspired by things that interested her such as graffiti, she created the wall stickers because she liked the idea of making the wallpaper on the wall like graffiti.

She installs her on work and has a lot of private commissions. She got her own studio early on her her career so she could have a lot of space to make her work.

She started off just making vinyl stickers for walls but she then started to make window stickers for different companies or for private commissions.

Her interactive wallpaper is a way to create fun work and fun creative wallpaper, no two outcomes are ever the same.

In my project I am creating wallpaper for children that has heat reactive elements and also puff binder to make the wallpaper interactive and fun for children to feel and play with. It will be a way for children to connect with their senses. It will also have very calming colours as it will be in children's rooms.
