Painting onto fabric with dyes

I really enjoyed this workshop, we used reactive dyes mixed with a bit of paste to paint onto the fabric. I used references from my own sketchbook to create mine.

We hand painted onto silk to make a scarf. I found it very beneficial and will probably use this technique in the future as it was just like painting onto a piece of paper.

This was my end piece:

I took pieces of out different sketchbook pages but mainly the page that is open on that photograph. The main inspiration came from a pattern on a fish.
